LASER DEPILATION

Laser hair removal is a hair removal method that exists since 1994 based on the permanent removal of hair through the light emission of the laser, making it a type of photoepilation.

Before the treatment, the hair of the area to be treated is shaved and, depending on the type of skin and the patient's hair, the parameters are adjusted to obtain the best results.

The patient and operator should wear protective glasses and a cryotherapy or cooling system should be used to minimize pain and subsequent redness of the area.

At the end of the treatment it is advisable to use moisturizing creams to calm the treated area, as well as sunscreen. However, the use of creams is not necessary in the use of some new generation lasers.

Laser hair removal is a method of permanent hair removal. That is, the hair removed does not grow back and it is normal that several sessions are needed to remove most of the hair in the body area. There is a percentage of the hair that remains with little melanin and it is not possible to remove it with high efficiency.

The results of laser hair removal can be highly influenced by hormones in both men and women and new facial hair growth occurs in the facial area in a very common way and in some cases in the body for much of life, so that in these areas the total and definitive elimination of it is not possible. Therefore, it is common to carry out more sessions after treatment to remove new hair.
It is advisable not to depilate the treated area with waxes or tweezers or any system that removes hair from the roots before and after applying the laser. In this way it has more effect by damaging the hair follicle.
