Lymphatic Massage

LYMPHATIC MASSAGE

Manual lymphatic drainage (DLM) is a massage therapy technique that is encompassed in the fields of physiotherapy and alternative medicine.
It is based on an unproven hypothesis that natural drainage of lymph can be stimulated, which transports waste products from the tissues to be eliminated.
Manual lymphatic drainage uses a specific amount of pressure (less than 40 grams per square cm or approximately 4 kPa) and rhythmic circular movements to stimulate lymphatic flow.
It is aimed at "activating the functioning of the superficial lymphatic system to improve the elimination of interstitial fluid and large molecules and facilitate their evacuation."

In the case of alternative medicine, it is a type of massage that helps "detoxify" the body by removing "blocks" from the lymphatic system.
